Footer Options - Item Applicability

"Item Applicability" is a functionality that allows you to decide if would like to mark a specific item in the Procedure Execution as “not applicable” or in other words “Not Relevant” to this specific execution you are conducting right now. A good example can be seen in the image below: a mechanic will need to perform an inspection for a delivery truck and he has two types of trucks in his fleet, one Diesel powered and one Electric. In this case, if you perform an inspection for the Electric type, then the “Exhaust and Emission” systems do not exist and thus are not relevant.

  1. You may  navigate manually into a specific Item

  2. Press the Applicable Checkbox located at the Footer of the Item

    1. Item will become applicable/not applicable according to the checkbox state

Speech Modifying Applicability

  1. It is possible to change the Applicability status of any item using a Speech Input exactly as making any other Value Input regarding a Specific Item.
Example: states the following: “… Exhaust system is not applicable…” or “Emissions system is applicable…”

Additional information

The aiOla solution is an event-driven architecture, meaning, any Value Reporting by you, with 645e5f87-2654-45ac-90e9-b7db5b1e60deSpeech or Manually via the application UI, is automatically saved in the application Data Base.

Changing the status of an item from Applicable to Not Applicable works the same way, it is simply a report that the user makes.

Note: Changing the Applicability to “Not Applicable” will not delete all previous “Value Reporting” done by the user. Upon Changing back to “Applicable” all previous Values will be present again

Note: Not Applicable value indication will always be in the higher hierarchy in the UI of the application (see image on the right). meaning, if an item had a “Status” already and the user is setting the item as Not Applicable, the indication of Not Applicable will replace the previous indication of the Main Value of this item.
